The department comprises five classrooms in the Lower School area of the site, as well as a further two rooms in Delhurst. We have a suite of networked computers as well as projectors, DVD’s and a plethora of up to date text books and CD ROMs.

Annual Trips include:
Residential Fieldtrip to Snowdonia
Local Fieldwork in Birmingham, Dudley and Kidderminster
Residential Fieldwork in Halsannery, Devon
Foreign Fieldtrip - Iceland & Morocco.

To stimulate a wonder and interest about the world, people and places.

To provide a stimulating and varied learning experience that allows all pupils to access the Geography curriculum and gain success.

To encourage students to have open, enquiring minds and to perceive Geography in the context of a wider body of knowledge, vocabulary and skills and to provide a sound basis for life long study and the pursuit of personal interest.

To enable students to understand and confidently use the terminology specific to the subject.

To encourage the development of informed opinions and to support such opinions with reasoned arguments, communicating ideas and opinions effectively.

To encourage the development of an enquiring mind and the ability to become an independaent learner.
