The department benefits from a suite of rooms housed within one area of the school.
All rooms have a tape recorder and OHP and 4 of the 7 rooms are equipped with a digital projector. We also have an IT room with 16 computers and an interactive whiteboard.
All pupils study either French or German until the end of year 9. At the end of year 7, pupils are setted by ability and those pupils in set 1 will study two languages.
At the end of Key Stage 3, pupils can opt to continue with a language if they wish and they will then follow the AQA course for GCSE.
